I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “desolation”.

Leviticus 26:31 And I will make your cities waste,
and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation,
and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

Leviticus 26:32 And I will bring the land into desolation:
and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

Joshua 8:28 And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever,
even a desolation unto this day.

II Kings 22:19 Because thine heart was tender,
and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD,
when thou heardest what I spake against this place,
and against the inhabitants thereof,
that they should become a desolation and a curse,
and hast rent thy clothes,
and wept before me;
I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.

II Chronicles 30:7 And be not ye like your fathers,
