I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “clean” from ‘History’ of the Old Testament (KJV).

Joshua 3:17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant
of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan,
and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground,
until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

Joshua 4:1 And it came to pass,
when all the people were clean passed over Jordan,
that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

Joshua 4:11 And it came to pass,
when all the people were clean passed over,
that the ark of the LORD passed over,
and the priests, in the presence of the people.

Joshua 22:17 Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us,
from which we are not cleansed until this day,
although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,

I Samuel 20:26 Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day:
for he thought,
Something hath befallen him,
he is not clean;

surely he is not clean.

II Samuel 22:21 The LORD rewarded me
according to my righteousness:
according to the cleanness of my hands
hath he recompensed me.

II Samuel 22:25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me
according to my righteousness;
according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

II Kings 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying,
Go and wash in Jordan seven times,
and thy flesh shall come again to thee,
and thou shalt be clean.

II Kings 5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus,
better than all the waters of Israel?
may I not wash in them, and be clean?
So he turned and went away in a rage.

II Kings 5:13 And his servants came near,
and spake unto him, and said, My father,
if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing,
wouldest thou not have done it?
how much rather then, when he saith to thee,
Wash, and be clean?

II Kings 5:14 Then went he down,
and dipped himself seven times in Jordan,
according to the saying of the man of God:
and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child,
and he was clean.

II Chronicles 29:15 And they gathered their brethren,
and sanctified themselves,
and came, according to the commandment of the king,
by the words of the LORD,
to cleanse the house of the LORD.

II Chronicles 29:16 And the priests went into
the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it,
and brought out all the uncleanness
that they found in the temple of the LORD
into the court of the house of the LORD.
And the Levites took it,
to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron.

II Chronicles 29:18 Then they went in to Hezekiah the king,
and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD,
and the altar of burnt offering,
with all the vessels thereof,
and the shewbread table,
with all the vessels thereof.

II Chronicles 30:17 For there were many
in the congregation that were not sanctified:
therefore the Levites had the charge
of the killing of the passovers
for every one that was not clean,
to sanctify them unto the LORD.

II Chronicles 30:18 For a multitude of the people,
even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar,
and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves,
yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written.
But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,
The good LORD pardon every one

II Chronicles 30:19 That prepareth his heart to seek God,
the LORD God of his fathers,
though he be not cleansed
according to the purification of the sanctuary.

II Chronicles 34:5 And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars,
and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.

Nehemiah 13:9 Then I commanded,
and they cleansed the chambers:
and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God,
with the meat offering and the frankincense.

Nehemiah 13:22 And I commanded the Levites
that they should cleanse themselves,
and that they should come and keep the gates,
to sanctify the sabbath day.
Remember me, O my God, concerning this also,
and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

Nehemiah 13:30 Thus cleansed I them from all strangers,
and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites,
every one in his business;
