I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “baptize…d…”.

5. Then went out to him Jerusalem,
and all Judaea,
and all the region round about Jordan,

Mat 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan,
confessing their sins.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance:
but he that cometh after me is mightier than I,
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
