I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “boast”.

1 Kings 20:11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him,
Let not him that girdeth
on his harness boast himself
as he that putteth it off.

2 Chronicles 25:19 Thou sayest, Lo,
thou hast smitten the Edomites;
and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast:
abide now at home;
why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt,
that thou shouldest fall, even thou,
and Judah with thee?

Psalms 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire,
and blesseth the covetous,
whom the LORD abhorreth.

Psalms 34:2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:
the humble shall hear thereof,
and be glad.
