I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “wave…s…”.
2 Samuel 22:5 When the waves of death compassed me,
the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
Job 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens,
and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
Job 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further:
and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Psalms 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep
at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Psalms 65:7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas,
the noise of their waves,
and the tumult of the people.
Psalms 88:7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me,
and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.
Psalms 89:9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea:
when the waves thereof arise,
thou stillest them.
Psalms 93:3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their waves.
Psalms 93:4 The LORD on high is mightier than
the noise of many waters, yea,
than the mighty waves of the sea.
Psalms 107:25 For he commandeth,
and raiseth the stormy wind,
which lifteth up the waves thereof.
Psalms 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm,
so that the waves thereof are still.
Isaiah 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments!
then had thy peace been as a river,
and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19. Thy seed also had been as the sand,
and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof;
his name should not have been cut off
nor destroyed from before me.
Isaiah 51:15 But I am the LORD thy God,
that divided the sea,
whose waves roared:
The LORD of hosts is his name.
Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD:
will ye not tremble at my presence,
which have placed the sand
for the bound of the sea
by a perpetual decree,
that it cannot pass it:
and though the waves thereof toss themselves,
yet can they not prevail;
though they roar,
yet can they not pass over it?
Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith the LORD,
which giveth the sun for a light by day,
and the ordinances of the moon
and of the stars for a light by night,
which divideth the sea
when the waves thereof roar;
The LORD of hosts is his name:
Jeremiah 51:42 The sea is come up upon Babylon:
she is covered with
the multitude of the waves thereof.
Jeremiah 51:55 Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon,
and destroyed out of her the great voice;
when her waves do roar like great waters,
a noise of their voice is uttered:
Ezekiel 26:3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold,
I am against thee, O Tyrus,
and will cause many nations to come up against thee,
as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
Jonah 2:3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep,
in the midst of the seas;
and the floods compassed me about:
all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
Zechariah 10:11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction,
and shall smite the waves in the sea,
and all the deeps of the river shall dry up:
and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down,
and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
Matthew 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves:
but he was asleep.
Matthew 14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea,
tossed with waves:
for the wind was contrary.
Mark 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind,
and the waves beat into the ship,
so that it was now full.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun,
and in the moon,
and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations,
with perplexity;
the sea and the waves roaring;
26. Men’s hearts failing them for fear,
and for looking after those things
which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Acts 27:41 And falling into a place where two seas met,
they ran the ship aground;
and the forepart stuck fast,
and remained unmoveable,
but the hinder part was broken
with the violence of the waves.
Jude 1:12 These are spots
in your feasts of charity,
when they feast with you,
feeding themselves without fear:
clouds they are without water,
carried about of winds;
trees whose fruit withereth,
without fruit,
twice dead,
plucked up by the roots;
Jude 1:13 Raging waves of the sea,
foaming out their own shame;
wandering stars,
to whom is reserved
the blackness of darkness for ever.
