I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “name’s sake”.

1Sa 12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people
for his great name’s sake:
because it hath pleased the LORD
to make you his people.

1Ki 8:41 Moreover concerning a stranger,
that is not of thy people Israel,
but cometh out of a far country
for thy name’s sake;

42. (For they shall hear of thy great name,
and of thy strong hand,
and of thy stretched out arm;)
when he shall come and pray toward this house;
43. Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place,
and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for:
that all people of the earth may know thy name,
to fear thee, as  do thy people Israel;
and that they may know that this house,
which I have builded, is called by thy name.

2Ch 6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger,
which is not of thy people Israel,
but is come from a far country
for thy great name’s sake,
and thy mighty hand,
and thy stretched out arm;
if they come and pray in this house;

33. Then hear thou from the heavens,
even from thy dwelling place,
and do according to all
that the stranger calleth to thee for;
that all people of the earth may know thy name,
and fear thee, as  doth thy people Israel,
and may know that this house
which I have built is called by thy name.

for his name’s sake.

because thy mercy is good,
deliver thou me.

for thy name’s sake:
for thy righteousness‘ sake
bring my soul out of trouble.

and for my praise will I refrain for thee,
that I cut thee not off.

Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD,
ye that tremble at his word;
Your brethren that hated you,
that cast you out for my name’s sake, said,
Let the LORD be glorified:
but he shall appear to your joy,
and they shall be ashamed.

that it should not be polluted before the heathen,
