I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “elder”.

Genesis 10:21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber,
the brother of Japheth the elder,
even to him were children born.

Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said unto her,
Two nations are in thy womb,
and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels;
and the one people shall be stronger than the other people;
and the elder shall serve the younger.

Genesis 27:42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah:
