I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “good for”.

Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God
to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food,
and that it was pleasant to the eyes,
and a tree to be desired to make one wise,
she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Lev 27:10 He shall not alter it,
nor change it,
a good for a bad,
or a bad for a good:
and if he shall at all change beast for beast,
then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.

1Sa 24:19 For if a man find his enemy,
will he let him go well away?
wherefore the LORD reward thee good for
that thou hast done unto me this day.

2Sa 14:32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold,
I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither,
that I may send thee to the king, to say,
Wherefore am I come from Geshur?
it had been good for me to have been there still:
now therefore let me see the king’s face;
and if there be any iniquity in me,
let him kill me.

2Sa 16:12 It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction,
and that the LORD will requite me
good for his cursing this day.

Est 7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king,
Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high,
which Haman had made for Mordecai,
who had spoken good for the king,
standeth in the house of Haman.
Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Psa 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God:
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
that I may declare all thy works.

Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn thy statutes.

Ecc 2:3 I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine,
yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom;
and to lay hold on folly,
till I might see what was that good for the sons of men,
which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.

Ecc 6:12 For who knoweth what is good for man in this life,
all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow?
for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Jer 13:10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words,
which walk in the imagination of their heart,
and walk after other gods, to serve them,
and to worship them,
shall even be as this girdle,
which is good for nothing.

for they have digged a pit for my soul.

Lord, it is good for us to be here:
if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles;
one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

It is good for them if they abide even as I.

1Co 7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress,
I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
