Friend – from the New Testament


Friend? Foe?…Friend of sinners?…NT? New Testament?…

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” -KJV, God gave me the following verses in the context of “Friend(s)”, from Matthew till Revelation in the New Testament.

Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say,
Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber,
a friend of publicans and sinners.
But wisdom is justified of her children.

Mat 20:13 But he answered one of them, and said,
Friend, I do thee no wrong:
didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

Mat 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend,
how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
And he was speechless.

Mat 26:50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come?

Father was Head-master of a municipal Higher Secondary School, passed at the age of 50 (05/05/1922 – 03/07/1972). Mother was a Teacher in a Municipal Higher Secondary School, passed after her retirement (08/04/1927 – 17/12/1993). Now I am living in New Delhi, India.
