‘Intent’ ….. mentioned in the Holy Bible (KJV)

Now these things were our examples,
to the intent we should not lust after evil things,
as they also lusted. – 1Co 10:6

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Intent”.

2Sa 17:14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said,
The counsel of Hushai the Archite is
better than the counsel of Ahithophel.
For the LORD had appointed to defeat
the good counsel of Ahithophel,
to the intent that the LORD might bring
evil upon Absalom.

2Ki 10:19 Now therefore call unto me
all the prophets of Baal, all his servants,
and all his priests; let none be wanting:
for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal;
whosoever shall be wanting,
he shall not live.
But Jehu did it in subtilty,
to the intent that he might destroy
the worshippers of Baal.

2Ch 16:1 In the six and thirtieth year
of the reign of Asa Baasha
king of Israel came up against Judah,
and built Ramah,
to the intent that he might let none go out
or come in to Asa king of Judah.

Jer 30:24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return,
until he have done it,
and until he have performed the intents of his heart:
in the latter days ye shall consider it.

Eze 40:4 And the man said unto me,
Son of man, behold with thine eyes,
and hear with thine ears,
and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee;
for to the intent that I might shew them
unto thee art thou brought hither:
declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

Dan 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers,
and the demand by the word of the holy ones:
to the intent that the living may know that
the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,
and giveth it to whomsoever he will,
and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Joh 11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there,
to the intent ye may believe;
nevertheless let us go unto him.

Joh 13:28 Now no man at the table knew
for what intent he spake this unto him.

Act 9:21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said;
Is not this he that destroyed them
which called on this name in Jerusalem,
and came hither for that intent,
that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

Act 10:29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying,
as soon as I was sent for:
I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

1Co 10:6 Now these things were our examples,
to the intent we should not lust after evil things,
as they also lusted.

Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities
and powers in heavenly places might be known
by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick,
and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
