I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “poor and needy”.

Deu 24:14 Thou shalt not oppress
an hired servant that is poor and needy,
whether he be of thy brethren,
or of thy strangers
that are in thy land within thy gates:

Job 24:14 The murderer rising with
the light killeth the poor and needy,
and in the night is as a thief.

Psa 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword,
and have bent their bow,
to cast down the poor and needy,
and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

Psa 40:17 But I am poor and needy;
yet the Lord thinketh upon me:
thou art my help and my deliverer;
make no tarrying, O my God.

Psa 70:5 But I am poor and needy:
make haste unto me, O God:
thou art my help and my deliverer;
O LORD, make no tarrying.

Psa 72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy,
and shall save the souls of the needy.

Psa 74:21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed:
let the poor and needy praise thy name.

Psa 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy:
rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Psa 86:1 Bow down thine ear,
O LORD, hear me:
for I am poor and needy.

Psa 109:16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy,
but persecuted the poor and needy man,
that he might even slay the broken in heart.

Psa 109:22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is wounded within me.

Pro 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Isa 41:17 When the poor and needy seek water,
and there is none,
and their tongue faileth for thirst,
I the LORD will hear them,
I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Jer 22:16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy;
then it was well with him:
was not this to know me? saith the LORD.

Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom,
pride,
fulness of bread,
and abundance of idleness was in her
and in her daughters,
neither did she strengthen
the hand of the poor and needy.

Eze 18:12 Hath oppressed the poor and needy,
hath spoiled by violence,
hath not restored the pledge,
and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols,
hath committed abomination,

Eze 22:29 The people of the land have used oppression,
and exercised robbery,
and have vexed the poor and needy:
yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
