I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “swallowed”.

Exo 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod,
and they became serpents:
but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.

Exo 15:12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand,
the earth swallowed them.

Num 16:32 And the earth opened her mouth,
and swallowed them up,
and their houses,
and all the men that appertained unto Korah,
and all their goods.

Num 26:10 And the earth opened her mouth,
and swallowed them up together with Korah,
when that company died,
