I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “beaten ”.

Exo 5:14 And the officers of the children of Israel,
which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them,
were beaten, and demanded,
Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task
in making brick both yesterday and to day,
as heretofore?

Exo 5:16 There is no straw given unto thy servants,
and they say to us, Make brick:
and, behold, thy servants are beaten;
but the fault is in thine own people.

Exo 25:18 And thou shalt make
two cherubims of gold,
of beaten work shalt thou make them,
in the two ends of the mercy seat.

Exo 25:31 And thou shalt make
a candlestick of pure gold:
of beaten work shall the candlestick be made:
his shaft,
and his branches, his bowls, his knops,
and his flowers, shall be of the same.

Exo 25:36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same:
all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
