I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Put away”.

Gen 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household,
and to all that were with him,
Put away the strange gods that are among you,
and be clean,
and change your garments:

Exo 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread;
even the first day
ye shall put away leaven out of your houses:
for whosoever eateth leavened bread
from the first day until the seventh day,
that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

Lev 21:7 They shall not take a wife that is a whore,
or profane;
neither shall they take a woman
put away from her husband:
for he is holy unto his God.

Deu 17:12 And the man that will do presumptuously,
and will not hearken unto the priest
that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God,
or unto the judge, even that man shall die:
and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

Deu 19:13 Thine eye shall not pity him,
but thou shalt put away the guilt of
innocent blood from Israel,
that it may go well with thee.

Deu 21:9 So shalt thou put away the guilt of
innocent blood from among you,
when thou shalt do that
which is right in the sight of the LORD.

Deu 22:22 If a man be found lying with a woman
married to an husband,
then they shall both of them die,

being in the city;

because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife:
so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

and serve him in sincerity and in truth:
and put away the gods which your fathers served
on the other side of the flood,
and in Egypt;
and serve ye the LORD.
