I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “remain…”.

Isa 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion,
and he that remaineth in Jerusalem,
shall be called holy, even every one
that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

Isa 10:32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day:
he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion,
the hill of Jerusalem.

Isa 32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness,
and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

Isa 44:13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule;
he marketh it out with a line;
he fitteth it with planes,
and he marketh it out with the compass,
and maketh it after the figure of a man,
according to the beauty of a man;
that it may remain in the house.

Isa 65:4 Which remain among the graves,
and lodge in the monuments,
which eat swine’s flesh,
and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth,
which I will make,
shall remain before me, saith the LORD,
so shall your seed and your name remain.

Jer 8:3 And death shall be chosen rather than life

Jer 17:25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city

Jer 37:10 For though ye had smitten
the whole army of the Chaldeans
that fight against you,
and there remained but wounded men among them,
yet should they rise up every man in his tent,
and burn this city with fire.

Jer 37:16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon,
and into the cabins,
and Jeremiah had remained there many days;

Jer 37:21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded
that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison,
and that they should give him daily
a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street,

and took him up out of the dungeon:
and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Jer 39:9 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard
carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people
that remained in the city,
and those that fell away,
that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained.

Jer 41:10 Then Ishmael carried away captive
all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah,
even the king’s daughters,
and all the people that remained in Mizpah,
whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard
had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam:

and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

Jer 42:17 So shall it be with all the men
that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there;
they shall die by the sword, by the famine,

or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
