Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness,
than he that is perverse in his ways,
though he be rich. – Pro 28:6

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Better is”.
Pro 15:16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD
than great treasure and trouble therewith.
Pro 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is,
than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
Pro 16:8 Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right.
Pro 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
Pro 17:1 Better is a dry morsel,
and quietness therewith,
than an house full of sacrifices with strife.
Pro 19:1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity,
than he that is perverse in his lips,
and is a fool.
Pro 27:10 Thine own friend,
and thy father’s friend,
forsake not;
neither go into thy brother’s house
in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near
than a brother far off.
Pro 28:6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness,
than he that is perverse in his ways,
though he be rich.
Ecc 4:3 Yea, better is he than both they,
which hath not yet been,
who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
Ecc 4:6 Better is an handful with quietness,
than both the hands full
with travail and vexation of spirit.
Ecc 4:13 Better is a poor and a wise child
than an old and foolish king,
who will no more be admonished.
Ecc 5:5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow,
than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
Ecc 6:9 Better is the sight of the eyes
than the wandering of the desire:
this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecc 7:8 Better is the end of a thing
than the beginning thereof:
and the patient in spirit is
better than the proud in spirit.
Son 4:10 How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse!
how much better is thy love than wine!
and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
