I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Governor”.

Gen 42:6 And Joseph was the governor over the land,
and he it was that sold to all the people of the land:
and Joseph’s brethren came,
and bowed down themselves before him
with their faces to the earth.

Gen 45:26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive,
and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.
And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not.

Jdg 5:9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel,
that offered themselves willingly among the people.
Bless ye the LORD.

Jdg 5:14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them
against Amalek; after thee,
Benjamin, among thy people;

the son of Ahikam governor in the land,
and had committed unto him men,

and of the poor of the land,
of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

Jer 41:2 Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah,
and the ten men that were with him,
and smote Gedaliah the son of Ahikam
the son of Shaphan with the sword,
and slew him,
whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.

Jer 41:18 Because of the Chaldeans:
for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael
the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam,
whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land.

Dan 2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man,
and gave him many great gifts,
and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon,
and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
