I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “ provoked”.

which I sware unto their fathers,
neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

Num 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing,
and the earth open her mouth,
and swallow them up,
with all that appertain unto them,
and they go down quick into the pit;
then ye shall understand that
these men have provoked the LORD.

Deu 9:7 Remember, and forget not,
how thou provokedst the LORD thy God
to wrath in the wilderness:
from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt,
until ye came unto this place,
ye have been rebellious against the LORD.

Deu 9:8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath,
so that the LORD was angry with you

Deu 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy
with that which is not God;

and I will move them to jealousy
with those which are not a people;
I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

Jdg 2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers,
which brought them out of the land of Egypt,
and followed other gods,
of the gods of the people that were round about them,
and bowed themselves unto them,
and provoked the LORD to anger.

for to make her fret,

which he sinned,

the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat,

Jer 8:19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people

and with strange vanities?
