I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “ but if”.

but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out,
and to be trodden under foot of men.

If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness,
how great is that darkness!

let your peace come upon it:
but if it be not worthy,
let your peace return to you.

let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

keep the commandments.

but if the salt have lost his saltness,
