I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “upright… ”.

Genesis 37:7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field,
and, lo, my sheaf arose,
and also stood upright;
and, behold, your sheaves stood round about,
and made obeisance to my sheaf.

Exodus 15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils
the waters were gathered together,
the floods stood upright as an heap,
and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

Leviticus 26:13 I am the LORD your God,
which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt,
that ye should not be their bondmen;
and I have broken the bands of your yoke,
and made you go upright.

Deuteronomy 9:5 Not for thy righteousness,
or for the uprightness of thine heart,
dost thou go to possess their land:
but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God
