I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “please God”.

Num 23:27 And Balak said unto Balaam,
Come, I pray thee,
I will bring thee unto another place;
peradventure it will please God
that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

Job 6:9 Even that it would please God to destroy me;
that he would let loose his hand,
and cut me off!

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God.

1Th 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren,
and exhort you by the Lord Jesus,
that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk
and to please God,
so ye would abound more and more.
