I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “love is..”.

Pro 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs
where love is,
than a stalled ox
and hatred therewith.

1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another:
for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God.

1Jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time.
If we love one another,
