I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner
and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of wise .

and let them tell thee now,
and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.

and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

and will bring evil,
and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers,
and against the help of them that work iniquity.
Isa 44:25 . That frustrateth the tokens of the liars,
and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward,

Jer 8:9 . The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed
and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD;
and what wisdom is in them?

9

and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth
and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
Jer 9:23 . Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
Jer 18:18 . Then said they, Come,
and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come,
and let us smite him with the tongue,
and let us not give heed to any of his words.

and upon the inhabitants of Babylon,
and upon her princes,
and upon her wise men.

and her rulers,
and her mighty men:
and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep,

and very furious,
and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
Dan 2:13 . And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain;
and they sought Daniel
and his fellows to be slain.
Dan 2:14 . Then Daniel answered with counsel
and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
Dan 2:18 . That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel
and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Dan 2:21 . And he changeth the times
and the seasons: he removeth kings,
and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise,
and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Dan 2:24 . Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went
and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king,
and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
Dan 2:27 . Daniel answered in the presence of the king,
and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;

and gave him many great gifts,
and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon,
and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.

Dan 4:18 . This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
Dan 5:7 . The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans,
and the soothsayers. And the king spake,
and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing,
and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet,
and have a chain of gold about his neck,
and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Dan 5:8 . Then came in all the king’s wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.
Dan 5:15 . And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing,
and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:
Dan 12:3 . And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever
and ever.
Dan 12:10 . Many shall be purified,
and made white,
and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly:
and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

and he shall understand these things? prudent,
and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right,
and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1 Corinthians 10:29
Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

1 Corinthians 14:24
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

1 Peter 4:6
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Revelation 11:18
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Revelation 16:5
And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of able.

Jos 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee
all the days of thy life:
as I was with Moses,
so I will be with thee:
I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Jos 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain,
whereof the LORD spake in that day;
for thou heardest in that day
how the Anakims were there,
and that the cities were great
and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me,
then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
Jos 23:9 For the LORD hath driven out
from before you great nations
and strong: but as for you,
no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
Jdg 8:3 God hath delivered into your hands
the princes of Midian, Oreb
and Zeeb:
and what was I able to do in comparison of you?
Then their anger was abated toward him,
when he had said that.
1Sa 6:20 And the men of Bethshemesh said,
Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God?
and to whom shall he go up from us?
1Sa 17:9 If he be able to fight with me,
and to kill me, then will we be your servants:
but if I prevail against him,
and kill him, then shall ye be our servants,
and serve us.
1Sa 17:33 And Saul said to David,
Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him:
for thou art but a youth,
and he a man of war from his youth.
1Ki 3:9 Give therefore thy servant
an understanding heart to judge thy people,
that I may discern between good
and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
1Ki 9:21 Their children that were left after them in the land,
whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy,
upon those did Solomon levy
a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
2Ki 3:21 And when all the Moabites heard
that the kings were come up to fight against them,
they gathered all that were able to put on armour,
and upward,
and stood in the border.
2Ki 18:23 Now therefore,
I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria,
and I will deliver thee two thousand horses,
if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
2Ki 18:29 Thus saith the king,
Let not Hezekiah deceive you:
for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:
1Ch 5:18 The sons of Reuben,
and the Gadites,
and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men,
men able to bear buckler
and sword,
and to shoot with bow,
and skilful in war, were four
and forty thousand seven hundred
and threescore, that went out to the war.
1Ch 9:13 And their brethren,
heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand
and seven hundred
and threescore; very able men
for the work of the service of the house of God.
1Ch 26:8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they
and their sons
and their brethren, able men for strength
for the service, were threescore
and two of Obededom.
1Ch 29:14 But who am I,
and what is my people, that we should be able to offer
so willingly after this sort?
for all things come of thee,
and of thine own have we given thee.
2Ch 2:6 But who is able to build him an house,
seeing the heaven
and heaven of heavens cannot contain him?
who am I then, that I should build him an house,
save only to burn sacrifice before him?
2Ch 7:7 Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court
that was before the house of the LORD:
for there he offered burnt offerings,
and the fat of the peace offerings,
because the brasen altar which Solomon had made
was not able to receive the burnt offerings,
and the meat offerings,
and the fat.
2Ch 20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers,
art not thou God in heaven?
and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen?
and in thine hand is there not power
and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
2Ch 20:37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah
prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying,
Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah,
the LORD hath broken thy works.
And the ships were broken,
that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
2Ch 25:5 Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together,
and made them captains over thousands,
and captains over hundreds,
according to the houses of their fathers,
throughout all Judah
and Benjamin:
and he numbered them from twenty years old
and above,
and found them three hundred thousand choice men,
able to go forth to war,
that could handle spear
and shield.
2Ch 25:9 And Amaziah said to the man of God,
But what shall we do for the hundred talents
which I have given to the army of Israel?
And the man of God answered,
The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
2Ch 32:13 Know ye not what I
and my fathers have done unto all the people of other lands?
were the gods of the nations of those lands
any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?
2Ch 32:14 Who was there among all the gods of those nations
that my fathers utterly destroyed,
that could deliver his people out of mine hand,
that your God should be able to deliver you out of mine hand?
2Ch 32:15 Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you,
nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him:
for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver
his people out of mine hand,
and out of the hand of my fathers:
how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
Ezr 10:13 But the people are many,
and it is a time of much rain,
and we are not able to stand without,
neither is this a work of one day or two:
for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.
Neh 4:10 And Judah said,
The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed,
and there is much rubbish;
so that we are not able to build the wall.
Job 41:10 None is so fierce
that dare stir him up:
who then is able to stand before me?
Psa 18:38 I have wounded them that
they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
Psa 21:11 For they intended evil against thee:
they imagined a mischievous device,
which they are not able to perform.
Psa 36:12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen:
they are cast down,
and shall not be able to rise.
Psa 40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about:
mine iniquities have taken hold upon me,
so that I am not able to look up;
they are more than the hairs of mine head:
therefore my heart faileth me.
Pro 27:4 Wrath is cruel,
and anger is outrageous;
but who is able to stand before envy?
Ecc 8:17 Then I beheld all the work of God,
that a man cannot find out the work
that is done under the sun:
because though a man labour to seek it out,
yet he shall not find it; yea further;
though a wise man think to know it,
yet shall he not be able to find it.
Isa 36:8 Now therefore give pledges,
I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria,

Let not Hezekiah deceive you:
for he shall not be able to deliver you.

and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly,
which thou shalt not know.

and his brethren,
and his neighbours,
and he is not.
Lam 1:14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound
by his hand: they are wreathed,
and come up upon my neck:

the Lord hath delivered me into their hands,
from whom I am not able to rise up.
Eze 7:19 They shall cast their silver in the streets,
and their gold shall be removed: their silver
and their gold shall not be able to deliver them
in the day of the wrath of the LORD:
they shall not satisfy their souls,
neither fill their bowels:
because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
Eze 33:12 Therefore, thou son of man,
say unto the children of thy people,
The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him

neither shall the righteous be able to live
for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

whom we serve is able to deliver us
from the burning fiery furnace,
and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
Dan 4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen.
Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof,
forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom
are not able to make known unto me the interpretation:
but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
Dan 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise
and extol
and honour the King of heaven,
all whose works are truth,
and his ways judgment:
and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
Dan 6:20 And when he came to the den,
he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel:
and the king spake
and said to Daniel, O Daniel,
servant of the living God, is thy God,

able to deliver thee from the lions?
Amo 7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel
sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,
Amos hath conspired against thee
in the midst of the house of Israel:
the land is not able to bear all his words.
Zep 1:18 Neither their silver
nor their gold shall be able to deliver them
in the day of the LORD’S wrath;
but the whole land shall be devoured
by the fire of his jealousy:
for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them
that dwell in the land.
