Chasten the Son? (@#$!Daughter?) By Whom? Why?

My son,
attend unto my wisdom,
and bow thine ear to my understanding:
That thou mayest regard discretion,
and  that thy lips may keep knowledge. ”

Prov-1:1, 2

I am no preacher, but, am a sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” God gave me the following verses in the context of Chasten from the Book of Life (The Holy Bible-KJV).

A rebuke for making a mistake, restrain, censure severely, 
correct by punishment or discipline

Deu-8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart,
that, as a man chasteneth his son,
so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

Deu-21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son,
which will not obey the voice of his father,
or the voice of his mother, and  that,
when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

19. Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him,
and bring him out unto the elders of his city,

This our son  is stubborn and rebellious,

Job-5:17 Behold, happy  is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

and bindeth up:
he woundeth,
and his hands make whole.

Job-33:19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed,
and the multitude of his bones with strong  pain:

20. So that his life abhorreth bread,
and his soul dainty meat.

Psa-6:1  O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger,
neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Psa-38:1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath:
neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Psa-69:10 When I wept,
and chastened my soul with fasting,
that was to my reproach.

Psa-73:14 For all the day long have I been plagued,
and chastened every morning.

Psa-94:12 Blessed  is the man whom thou chastenest,
O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

13. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity,
until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Psa-118:18 The LORD hath chastened me sore:
but he hath not given me over unto death.

Pro-3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD;
neither be weary of his correction:

12. For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth;
even as a father the son  in whom he delighteth.

Pro-13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son:

Pro-19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope,
and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Isa-26:16 LORD, in trouble have they visited thee,
they poured out a prayer  when thy chastening  was upon them.

Dan-10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not,
Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand,
and to chasten thyself before thy God,
thy words were heard,
and I am come for thy words.

Heb-12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation
which speaketh unto you as unto children,
My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord,
nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth,
and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb-12:7 If ye endure chastening,
God dealeth with you as with sons;
for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Rev-3:19 As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous therefore,
and repent.

And we know that all things work together for good
to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to  his purpose. “
