They profess that they know God;
but in works they deny him,

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “profess”.

Deu 26:3 And thou shalt go unto the priest
that shall be in those days,
and say unto him, I profess this day
unto the LORD thy God,
that I am come unto the country
which the LORD sware unto our fathers
for to give us.

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise,
they became fools,

2Co 9:13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration
they glorify God for your professed subjection
unto the gospel of Christ,
and for your liberal distribution unto them,
and unto all men;

1Ti 2:9 In like manner also,
that women adorn themselves in modest apparel,
with shamefacedness and sobriety;
not with broided hair,
or gold,
or pearls,
or costly array;

1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women
professing godliness)
with good works.

1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called,
and hast professed a good profession
before many witnesses.

1Ti 6:21 Which some professing have erred
concerning the faith.
Grace be with thee. Amen.

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God;
but in works they deny him,
being abominable,
and disobedient,
and unto every good work reprobate.

Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren,
partakers of the heavenly calling,
consider the Apostle
and High Priest of our profession,
Christ Jesus;

Heb 3:2 Who was faithful to him
that appointed him,
as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that
we have a great high priest,
that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold fast our profession.

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast
the profession of our faith
without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)

Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another
to provoke unto love
and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
